Welcome to theluckiest.net! Here you’ll find politics, pop culture, fiction, and food.
I work in communications, politics, & food, spend a lot of time reading and writing about vampires, fairies, and happy endings, and I’ve yet to meet a genre of music I can’t obsess over.
I find myself thirty-one years old and still adoring Europe, coffee, soft flannel, cold autumns, hot summers, & political theory. I love how it feels to write; to dream up characters and let them speak to you.
I’m a Democratic campaigner and activist. I’m a world traveler, fiercely pro-choice and pro-woman, a fan of highway driving, a movie dork, and an insatiable reader.
Born and raised in Maine, I’m a graduate of American University (Class of 2005, American Politics & Gender and American Literature) and in 2004 spent nine months abroad writing in Rome and Havana. All told, I spent about ten years in DC before finding my way north once again.
